Buffy - I've Got A Theory/Bunnies/If We're Together

Comments

This was the first episode of Buffy I ever saw and I told the person I was watching it with that if every episode was this stupid, I would never watch another Buffy, ever again in my life. She, being a Buffy fan already, said that this probably wasn't the best one to walk in with and assured me that I would like the show - even with the bad taste of this episode in my mouth.
I started watching the earlier episodes in syndication and was hooked and watched them everyday to catch up. My first Buffy is still my least favorite. My favorite? Hush.
hush was another great episode (where there were no dialogue). it cracked me up when buffy did that "stabbing thing" hahaha
This episode makes me feel really uneasy. I REEAALLYY hate musicals. Generally, however, I'm all about some Buffy.

Like VeryScaryCarnival, this was the first "Buffy" episode I ever saw. In fact, I only tuned in because I saw that it was going to be a musical episode. I've only seen a few Buffy episodes since then (mainly from the 1st season) but I always get "Give Me Something To Sing About" randomly stuck in my head.
I thought this episode of Buffy was quite funny, but then, I'm one who likes musicals....anything other than the "Sound of Music" because that one's just too sickening to me.

Easily one of the best episodes from one of the best series of all time. WTF is with the cover art though? I never realized Dark Horse carried on with the series; I'm going to have to check it out.
I despise musicals, but my love and respect of Buffy made this very, very tolerable. Plus, it's where Buffy and Spike kiss - how can that be bad?
Scary & Heart: You two are funny. Hush is my favorite Buffy-sode-- or Band Candy or The Replacement. And, Ms, Scary knows how much I love the angry little Angel puppet. Damn. Now I crave a blooming onion.
I'm a Buffy freak and this was hilarious! I always view musical episodes in tv series with some derision -- I'm a snob, what can I say? -- but this one was well done and funny to boot!

My fav songs on the buffy once more with feeling is dawns lament and I'm under your spell. I also dig anya' I'm The Mrs in the season after.

At the moment I'm currently not digging season 8, feels too fanfic at the moment. I hope it starts moving into a good zone soon. What made me sick more was the letter some of the readers sent in. It's like they're childishly bribing them to write certain types of stories. I can't believe how some people are so selfish on another person' art.

I know I posted about this myself, but I trust that y'all have seen Once More With Hobbits!, the LotR versions of all the Buffy songs.

Also, while I'm thinking about it, the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline, MA, used to do screenings of "Once More With Feeling" with audience participation, a la Rocky Horror Picture Show. I think I still have my copy of Marti Noxon's parking ticket from the one time I went to it. So very fun.
that is too funny.

btw where did you post it ? i tried searching the tags "buffy" and "lotr" on vox, but nothing came up :/
Ohh, you continue with the excellent ( i.e. what I'd pick ;) haha ) choices!
btw to W. B. Mook above : I've gone to the OMWF Sing-a-Long at Coolidge Corner! I think it was the last one they ever had, sadly. But, yes, I still have all the cool 'props'. It was so great.
Awesome! My girl and I were at that one. We occasionally find the little "Grr, Argh" monsters laying around the apartment. The kitties like to play with them, I think.
Oh, whoops, got carried away and forgot to reply to you. The post was titled "Rodgers and Hammerstein They Are Not" and I included one OMWH song and one song from the Cthulu musical, A Shoggoth on the Roof. I think I tagged it with "tolkein" and "buffy the vampire slayer" which just goes to show you the limitations of tags. Hehe.
Ah the finger monsters were great:) And I just loved all the directions for when to use what. I went with a friend and fellow Buffy aficionado and we had the best time!

I loved this episode. The fact that musically the songs were well written and for the most part the performances were up to par is saying something. I have "Rest in Peace" on my iPod.

I am so pleased I am not the only person who enjoyed the musical Buffy episode! I am sure you all own the Songbook as well!
