Maybe so. Don’t get me wrong—I like the guy—but I would have appreciated a reason in the TVNZ email. Let us say my notions of leadership differ from theirs.
Last week, I did make some comment about how Brendon Pongia (the Maori host) and I would have had to confront racism. Now, Kiwis don’t like being reminded of that. After all, we have a Labour government and we all hold hands on the hilltop with a rainbow behind us, singing racial harmony.
Well, if I am not back on next week, this becomes a big deal.
If minor things are dealt with this way, then we can safely conclude that it is symptomatic of the entire organization.
